Himesh Reshammiya also known as HR, was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra on 23 July, 1973 to Vipin Reshammiya and Madhu Reshammiya,however his family originate from Bhavnagar, Gujarat. HR is an Indian Music director, Singer, Actor, Television Producer, Lyricist, Film Producer. Reshammiya’s music falls almost entirely in the Electronic music genre. The extensive use of loops and addition of melodic hooks to his songs adds to their mass appeal.

The Music of Bodyguard is liked by the Masses,a song from Bodyguard called Teri Meri broke all records in Digital downloads. Himesh has given music for 102 films so far.

Himesh Reshammiya has been actively involved in mentoring and judging the singing competition, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge on Zee TV. His group was known as Rock Gharana. He was the winning mentor of the show in 2007. In 2009, Vaishali Made, a female contestant from his Rock Gharana, won the singing competition. He was the team captain, judge and mentor on STAR Plus’s show, Music Ka Maha Muqqabla for the team Himesh’s Warriors.

Himesh will be the captain for the Indian singers team against Atif Aslam’s Pakistani singers team at Sur Kshetra, the most awaited reality music show between India and Pakistan by Sahara One.
